The SURATech Team will drive Jefferson Lab scientific discovery into new and exciting domains. We will expand Lab partnerships to foster innovation and build capabilities and leverage assets to maximize benefits.

SURATech brings leading capabilities to manage laboratory operations that safely and cost-effectively support scientific discovery—building on SURA’s continuous improvement initiatives implemented at the Lab.
SURATech Members
SURATech, the Offeror, is led by LLC partners Southeastern Universities Research Association (SURA) and Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech or VT). Virginia Tech complements SURA’s scientific leadership at the Lab with its global reputation for science and engineering research. SURA and Virginia Tech provide a reliable pipeline to thousands of science, technology, engineering, and other STEM graduates each year—increasingly the in-demand, diverse talent critical to the Lab’s research programs and projects, including the construction and operation of the upcoming High Performance Data Facility.
